Depending on the organization, they will have a different definition of each. For very large enterprise organizations, they may differentiate the roles by responsibility (i.e. direct messaging, ad management, content creation, etc.), or each role may be associated with pay grade (jr/sr for example).
For smaller organizations, they may not have or require the volume to justify multiple Social Media positions due to responsibility. In many cases, the expectation of the employer is that the person selected will manage all of it.
