    1. Length — CV is an in-depth document which describes the whole course of your career in full details. It should be 2-3 pages or more if necessary. Resume, on the other hand, is short and concise. It provides an overview of your qualifications targeted to a specific job. It should only be 1 page (rarely 2, if necessary).

    2. Usage — CV is used for academic applications like academic jobs, scholarships, research fellowships, and etc. On the other side, resume is used for job applications.
